Gaia - Ammonite Necklace
For nearly 330 million years, ammonites like these four little guys jetted around the world's oceans, but became extinct the same time the dinosaurs did, about 65 million years ago. So it's pretty special that we have these to drape around your neck today! Beads of petrified wood finish that side of the necklace, so appropriate when we realize how many years it took for the organic matter in ancient wood to be replaced by quartz. Glass beads--large, small, old and new--on three strands balance out the other side of the necklace: many silver-foiled, one hollow. Small square pillows of tiger's eye tie in with the timeless look of the ammonites, making this one grounded, solid necklace that elegantly says, "Don't mess with me!"
Energies: Fossils in general are known to increase business accomplishments by opening one up to change and new ideas. Ammonite is considered to be a protective stone that gives stability and structure to a person’s life, and is said to change negativity into smoothly flowing energy. Petrified wood is very rich in earth energy and is the consummate transformational stone: it brings earth power to one's efforts to transform into something stronger. The glass, which carries the energy of transformation, also transmits the vibrations of the specific color energies, in this case brown, which is the color of grounding and connection.
Maximum length: 24 inches, finished off to that length (or shorter), including the clasp of your choice. Click on 'Make It Yours' tab for details.
